Marion Downs was purchased by NAPCO in 1934 and is the company's largest grower property which includes its outstation Herbert Downs.
The Georgina, Burke, Hamilton and Mulligan Rivers water the property.
The land systems vary from flood-out country associated with the various river systems, Mitchell and Flinders grass downs, with the western boundary the fringe of the Simpson Desert.

| Operations: | Robert, Leanne and their family began working for NAPCO at Marion Downs in January 2002. Robert has worked throughout the Channel Country since 1979. Marion Downs is run as a grower property for weaner cattle prior to their dispatch to backgrounding properties or direct to the Wainui Feedlot. Fifteen employees live and work between Marion and Herbert Downs. Recently, Marion Downs became the first property in Western Queensland to voluntarily set aside land for the Land for Wildlife project. |
