Our People
Attracted to NAPCO for opportunity, lifestyle and career advancement, the dedication and expertise of our employees underpins the success of our organisation. NAPCO employs over 180 people ranging from jackaroos and jillaroos to station and camp cooks, borepersons, stud overseers, book keepers, pilots, head stockpersons, mechanics, overseers and station managers. |
Certain qualities are required in people living on NAPCO properties. We look for staff who are self-reliant, resourceful, practical, versatile, adaptable, capable and have the ability to get on well with a bunch of different personality types in a rural community.
NAPCO makes a real effort to support the lifestyles of their employees right from induction through to career development. Our employees enjoy a balance between work and leisure that station life provides, and there is always time for a social cricket match, picnic, swimming at a waterhole or a video night. Socially, life in the bush is what you make it. Whether heading to Mount Isa for the rodeo, to Cloncurry for a campdraft, to Boulia for the camel races or to the next station to catch up with friends, there is always something going on.
